I started this lovely pair of socks last summer in August, I remember knitting a lot while J had his broken arm. I finished the first sock and was disappointed that somehow even after neurotically measuring the sock was too small. I forged ahead with the second sock, planning to give them to my mom. Last night I finished sock two and low and behold it is not even close to the same size, it comfortably fits my foot!
I may have learned the lesson to take notes on things that need to be in pairs. Later today I will pick out my ends and harvest the yarn to make a forest canopy shawl or some other lovely thing.
Now off to take advantage of a lovely afternoon before the snow starts falling.
