Valentine making

winging it

so i took a pair of his boxers, made a pattern out of them

stitched them up

and 

they are way too small, too tight-- while sewing i thought they looked

ENORMOUS 

and in the goodwill bag:(

i did enjoy making them, i think it would be wise to get a real pattern

I am still in the need of quick fixes, so on Saturday while the kids played and the manthing slept, I made the easiest headbands out of leftover apron fabric for the girls. There are so many patterns to choose online and I used this one. And Jennifer is right they can become addicting. Mo loved the headband and wanted more and more to match her skirts and pink ones and she just loves it so much, I asked her to model it for me, and she can't find it!

Now I am starting the holiday making early, in hopes of finishing on time. This idea is from The Creative family and Soule Mama blog. I am making the gratitude wrap which I will fill with cards made by the kids and some of Colorado photography. I think it will be a perfect made by all gift. Thank you Amanda for sharing the pattern, love it!

Why yes, that is florescent green fabric, got a problem with that? I am hoping I won't when the sewing is done. I am making the apron overlay and will add at least one pocket. Now off to cut the fabric. peace
